Author's Note: This story is the second part of the three pieces that I did with a group up in the front of the room, and they all connect with this one. I am also trying to stop repeating things over when I don't have to. I am also trying not to be too descriptive, but I am also trying to describe things so people don't get confused easily. I am also working on the punctuation. The stories that connect with this one are, The Worst Appointment Ever, and The Horrible Circus Clown. Please comment on what I could fix, and what was confusing, so I can fix it and make it better.
Chapter
1 – The Message
As Robert
ran from the doctor's office, he ran into a student, who yelled, "Hey
watch were you're going!"
Robert
replied to him, "Sorry, the dentist just pulled out my tooth, and the
tissue in my mouth was red with blood."
A girl
told the student. "Leave him alone Nathan, he's just a little kid."
Nathan replied
to Robert, "You should be careful around middle school students, they can
lose their temper easily."
The girl
told him, "He's telling you the truth, the students at our school fight
with other students often."
Nathan said
to the girl, "Come on Jade, we promised Steve and Trisha that we
would meet them at the circus because we haven’t seen them since 2004."
Jade
replied to Nathan, "You're right, we better go before they get mad at
us."
Nathan asked Robert, "You
want to come with us, it's my way of saying sorry for almost punching
you."
Robert
suprisely asked Nathan, "Really?"
"Sure,
it will be fun,” Nathan replied.
“Okay I
will go, if my mom says it’s okay,” Robert said.
Nathan
asked Robert, “How old are you?"
"My
name is Robert, and I'm 11, how old are you two?" Robert
asked Nathan and Jade
Nathan
replied, "I'm 14, and she's 13."
When they
got to Robert’s, and asked his mom if they could come she said, “As long as
he’s back by dinner at 5:00,” And when that was done, they left for the
circus.
"It's
about time that you guys got here, we have been waiting for an hour!" A
stranger told Nathan and Jade.
Jade
replied to the guy that asked, "Sorry, Nathan almost beat up this kid for
running into him, and as an apology, we invited him, but we had to ask his mom,
she didn't mind because we were old enough to be babysit, but we consider it
hanging out."
He
replied, "I'm Steve, and that's Trisha, we are both 14 and you
are?"
Robert
replied to Steve, "My name is Robert, I am 11 years old."
A kid
yelled, "I am not afraid, I am not afraid, I AM NOT AFRAID!"
"What's
your problem?" Trisha asked the kid.
The kid
told them, "I...I used to be afraid of clowns, and I still don't like
them, but I am going to overcome my fear of clowns."
Robert
walked up to the kid and asked, "Who are you?"
The kid
replied, "My name is Henry, and I'm 9, and don't run when I tell you
this, but I was in a mental hospital for a month, and during that time I got
something amazing, come with me and I will show you." they followed him
and when they got to a private place, he got out two glowing wings,
Henry told them, "These were given to me, and they prevent
nightmares."
"That's
crazy," Jade said, "but that doesn't mean it isn't
true."
Nathan
told her, "You believe everything, Jade, like the time I told you that
there was 100 dollars buried in the school’s yard."
They
decided that this kid might be crazy, but he is only 9 so he will believe
anything, so they decided to let him come with them.
The
announcer shouted, "Welcome to our circus, and to spice things up, the
clowns will come out first." When Henry heard that, he started
hyperventilating.
"Calm
down, I've been here tons of times, the clowns won't hurt
you." Trisha comforted Henry, and he calmed down.
When the
last clown came out, Henry almost freaked out, and even worse, the clown was
heading right towards him.
Before
the clown had a chance to say anything Henry yelled at him, "STAY AWAY
FROM ME YOU EVIL CLOWN!"
The clown
quietly whispered to Henry, “There is nothing that can stop
me, I will get my revenge.”
Suddenly
everything went black, and when the lights came back on, the clown was
gone, and everybody except Trisha, Steve, Nathan, Jade, Henry, and Robert,
were gone, they all gasped, and in the middle of the stage was a note. Nathan
picked it up and written on it was,
Trisha, Steve, Nathan, Jade, Henry, and Robert, you have been
selected, go to the old mansion at the end of Death Street, and when you get
there, two people will be waiting, they will train you to fight the evil that
is going to attack Earth. Good luck.
The
note disintegrated into nothing after they read it. They all looked
at each other and they didn’t know what to do. Steve asked, “Well should we go
or not?”
“It could
be a prank,” Jade said.
Henry
responded “I think we should go.”
“You must
not be from where we are, the old mansion is a dark old abandoned house, and is
dark 24 hours of the day,” Jade said.
Nathan
added, “But then again, Jade and me are the only people from Westernsun City,
where the place is famous.” They left for Dark City, and when they arrived,
they took the bus to Death Street.
“This is
the old mansion?” Robert asked.
Nathan
responded, “Yes, and a true story, I witnessed it myself, a kid went in there,
and when the police checked the house, they didn’t find the kid, they found his
ghost.”
“Is that
really true?” Henry asked.
Nathan
responded, “Yes.”
They all
stood there, unsure if they should go in or not.
Chapter
2 – The Truth
Nathan
walked up to the door, and right before he opened the door, it opened by
itself.
“Come
in,” a voice told them. They walked in the door where two people were waiting
for them.
“Nick,
take Nathan with you, you have to tell him the truth,” the person on the left
told the other.
Nick
responded, “Yes, I will take him to the room in the back.” Nick walked up a set
of stairs and told Nathan to follow him, once they were up the stairs he told
Nathan to sit down. “Nathan, you come from a long line of fighters, your
grandparents were the chosen ones, the two who were destined to defeat the
evil. Your mother was the child of the chosen ones, who also part of a
prophecy, and your father was the last of his kind, the last of a long line of
Alsors, the greatest fighters the universe has ever seen, but sadly, they all
perished long ago,
“What?”
Nathan asked Nick, confused.
Nick
continued, ignoring Nathan’s question, “Every other fighter in the
universe, besides me and Danielle, who was the person who told me to tell you
this all perished by the same foe. The last person in your family who was
alive was your cousin, whose life was also ended by the same evil who defeated
your grandparents.” Nathan was sitting there staring into space, Nick finished,
“And the only person who was powerful enough disappeared a long time ago.”
Meanwhile.
. .
“So what
do you think we can do, if what you say is true, then why do you think we can
do?” Steve asked the other person. Right at that moment, Nathan and Nick
came down the stairs.
. . .
Ten
months have passed, and everybody has gotten 20 times stronger than they were
when they arrived.
In a
small city called Easternsun City, life was normal, the kids were in school,
the parents were at work, and all of the people at NEWS (North, East, West, and
South) College were on their laptops, working. Suddenly a blue alien flew down
on to Main Rd., when a semi – truck drove down the road, the driver got out of
the truck and started yelling at the alien, but then he froze with fear when he
saw the alien, he was about 7 feet tall, had a tail with a stinger at the end, he
had claws on his hands and feet and had wings like an eagle, he walked up to
the semi – truck, and flung it into the air, and shot a weird laser out of his
hand and blew up the semi, then suddenly the Easternsun City army came down the
road.
The
military commander yelled in his microphone at the alien, “Put your hands up,
we have you surrounded.” There were news helicopters everywhere recoding the
battle, and the reporters were spitting out words. The alien grabbed one of the
tanks, and threw a smoke bomb. And the alien used that importunity to
fly in the air and fire a laser at everything in the area, which caused a
huge explosion and the whole city was reduced to rubble. The alien headed
towards Northernsun City, where he also reduced it to rubble. He did the same
with Westernsun City and then Southernsun City. But before he left for
Centralsun City, a mysterious stranger flew down behind him.
Chapter
3 – The Mystery
As soon
as Trisha, Steve, Nathan, Jade, Henry, and Robert saw the news report they
headed to each of the cities to find out what happened, and they had no luck
until they went to Southernsun City, where they saw the alien.
“Who’s
that one on the right?” Jade asked.
“I think
that’s the thing that destroyed those cities.” Nathan responded.
Suddenly,
without warning, the two started fighting, and they were both so fast that you
couldn’t see them, and after a minute they both stopped. Suddenly they both
disappeared.
“Let’s
pretend that this didn’t happen.” Henry told them. When they returned to the
mansion, Nick and the other stranger where waiting for them.
“Where
were you guys?” Nick asked them when they entered.
“We
thought we were about to fight the evil.” Robert replied.
“Danielle,
I think it is time to tell them the truth.” Nick told Danielle.
“Yes,
they should know the truth.” She responded.
“The
truth is that you aren’t going to fight aliens, you are going to fight
something else,” Nick told them.
Chapter
4 – The Complete Truth
“Something
else?” Jade asked.
“Five
years ago, when the United States found the five islands off the coast of
Alaska, they found a special substance in a cave on Central Island. The city is
now known and Centralsun City, and they discovered that the substance could be
used to create the weapons that they have been working on, Super Soldiers.
These aren’t normal soldiers, they are special soldiers that have had special
training, and they are also given suits that make them nearly invincible, and
these suits give the soldiers abilities that every human could dream of.”
Danielle told them.
“Yes,
they are given powers that superheroes have, you know, super strength, the
power to fly, etcetera,” Nick added.
“Isn't that
a good thing?” Steve asked them.
Danielle
replied, “No, because there is one side effect to the substance, it is a
strange substance, it is worse than any other substance on Earth, even more
destructive than Anti – Matter. But that isn’t the problem, the problem is if
it gets on a normal human, it turns their aura as dark as a bottomless pit, and
there is no cure.” Danielle paused, “Sadly that has happened, for I saw
it myself, it happened four years ago, a girl living in Centralsun City walked into
the cave, and when I followed her, I saw her turn completely evil, because
instead of being exposed to a small amount of the substance, she had fallen
into the giant pool in the deepest part of the cave, though the good news is
that all of the substance from the pool is gone. The bad news is because the
girl fell in the pool.”
“That’s
horrible, what happened to the girl?” Trisha asked.
“Because
she was exposed to so much of the substance, she turned far more evil than
anything anyone has ever seen on Earth,” Nick responded.
“Something
that evil has been on Earth for four years?” Steve asked.
“Yes, and
when the scientists found her and took back to examine her, she woke up and
destroyed the lab, and the whole continent with her, that is what happened to
Australia, it wasn’t hit by a meteor and sank into the ocean, it was
destroyed,” Danielle replied.
Nick told
them, “We believe that the other reason that the girl is evil is because
her soul has been taken over by a darkness that lived in the pool.”
. . .
Ten years
have passed since the mysterious substance was discovered in the cave in
Centralsun City, nine years have passed since the girl fell in the pool of goo,
and five years have passed since Nathan and his friends were told about the
suspicious cave, but what they didn’t know was that the goo wasn’t the current
problem, it was something far worse.
“What is
it Nick?” Nathan asked Nick.
“He’s
probably just wondering why we haven’t encountered the evil we are destined to
encounter,” Trisha answered.
“No, it
isn’t that, it’s just that the prophecy said that the prophecy said that the
five that were supposed to defeat the evil would unlock their special
powers within a year, and Henry and Robert still haven’t, and they are much
weaker than the rest of you,” Danielle answered.
“Hey
look, a note!” Robert shouted, pointing at the note.
Nathan
picked up the note. He told them, “I know what we have to do.”
Chapter
5 – Crystals and Shards
“So
we are supposed to go to each if the four islands, retrieve some kind of weird
orb from a cave, take them to Centralsun City, go to some kind of weird circle
thing and put each of the orbs in some kind of holder, and then a cave will
appear?” Robert asked Nathan.
“Yes,
it seems pretty straight forward.” Nathan responds.
.
. .
“Wow,
that was really easy.” Jade told them.
“Yes
too easy, this final cave must be much more difficult than the other ones.”
Nathan tells them.
When
they enter the cave, two girls were at the entrance.
“Who
are you?” Steve asked the two girls.
“We’ve
been expecting you, I’m Crystal, and that’s Shard,”
“Those
are odd names,” Henry tells Crystal and Shard.
“That
is because we were born in a cave,” Shard responded.
“We
know why you are here, and we are one step ahead, we have the item you want,” Crystal tells them
while she takes out a orb with rainbow – like colors waving around the orb.
“What
is that?” Robert asks.
“It
does not have a name, but it can help you defeat the dark evil,” Shard tells
them, and hands the orb to Nathan.
“Why
haven’t we encountered the evil?” Nathan asks.
“That
is because the evil is growing, the United States created the Super Soldiers,
but they went out of control, and the girl took control, and are getting more
powerful, but that orb will allow you to defeat the evil,” Crystal tells them
and they both walk away into the cave.
When
they got back to the mansion, they notice that it is under attack by the Super
Soldiers.
“Why
would they attack the mansion?” Henry asked.
“How
do they even know that we are training there?” Trisha asked the others.
“I
don’t know, maybe with us always coming in and out that they saw us,” Steve
guessed.
Robert
told them, “I think that they have a spy, because I saw someone spying on the
house, and when I came out, he ran away.”
“When?”
Jade asked Robert.
“I
think it was a few days ago,” Robert told them.
“Why
didn’t you tell us?” Jade asked Robert.
“I
didn’t think it was important,” Robert told them.
Right
at that moment Nick and Danielle came out and started fighting the enemies, and
within a few minutes the whole attack force retreated.
“There is a bomb in there, that is why we came out here, we would have stayed inside, where we had the advantage,” Danielle told them.
“There is a bomb in there, that is why we came out here, we would have stayed inside, where we had the advantage,” Danielle told them.
“What
should we do now?” Henry asked.
Nick
told everybody, “We strike back.”
“How?”
Jade asked Nick.
“You
got the orb from Crystal and Shard right?” Danielle asked them.
“Yes,” Henry told Nick and Danielle, “but I’m
wondering, where is Nathan?”
I know I should have told the others what my plan was, but I must stop
the soldiers by myself. I’m just glad that I brought the orb. But what is so
important about this orb? Nathan thought to himself
as his stood on the hill above the factory. According
to Crystal and Shard, this is the factory where they will use the substance to
create the ultimate army. He thought to himself. Suddenly the factory blew
up.
Chapter
6 – The Mysterious New Enemy
After
they got the bomb out before it exploded, there was still one question,
where was Nathan? Right at that moment Nathan walked in to the house and fell
to the ground.
“Nathan!”
Trisha yelled.
“He’s
unconscious, but he’s still breathing,” Jade pointed out, “what, I took a
CPR class in third grade.”
“Look
he’s waking up,” Henry told them.
“They
came out of nowhere and attacked me without warning, they were far more
powerful than anything I have ever faced before, and before I passed out, I
heard them say something about searching for Jayden, or something about a
raven, I couldn’t tell,” Nathan said, talking to himself.
“Nathan,
did you get a good look at them?” Jade asked Nathan.
“What?”
Nathan asked.
“Did you
get a good look at the things that attacked you?” Henry asked.
Nathan
told them, “Yes, the one that attacked me first looked like a boy about 13 or
14, he was about five feet four and had black hair, and the other one was the
same, it looked like a girl the same age, but that is all I can remember about
them.”
Jade told
him, “You probably just got attacked by two teenagers who were angry at
their parents and let it out on you.”
“No,
their attacks were far too powerful for them to be teenagers. It was brief, but
I sensed a dark and evil energy, whatever they are, they are not human,” Nathan
said.
“Well,
you said they looked like humans right?” Steve asked.
“Yes,
they looked like two normal teenagers,” Nathan replied.
“That
makes things difficult, was there anything that made them stand out?” Nick
asked.
Nathan
told them, “No, but I think they might be Joey and Brooke, the two who died
when a building mysteriously exploded, mysteriously because the police had
explosion radars, which can sense a bomb, or what caused the explosion, and
when they used one the machine said that there was no bomb, which almost caused
chaos in Centralsun City’s government.”
“What
should we do?” Henry asked.
Chapter
7 – The Revenge
Nathan
revealed that the girl that fell in the goo, the Super Soldiers, and the
mysterious blue alien that attack the four cities was not the threat to worry
about, but that the mysterious duo that attacked him was the threat to worry
about, and now, the mysterious duo whose plan is unknown, are going after
someone named Jayden.
“Did you
really have to attack that kid without warning?” a girl asked the boy next to
her.
“Yes,
Brooke, it was good training, for when get revenge on the person who sent
us to this planet, and if that means we have to eliminate all life on Earth,
then that is what we will do.” The boy responded.
Suddenly,
a car drives down the road, and when it drives past Brooke and the
boy, the boy steps out on the road, grabs the car, flings the driver out and
gets in the car.
“What was
that for Joey?” Brooke asked Joey.
“Stop
asking questions and get in the car,” Joey replies.
She
responds, “Fine, I was getting tired of walking anyways.”
The
driver grabs his phone and calls the police to tell them his car has been
stolen.
After
driving the stolen car for about twenty minutes, a police barricade stops them,
so they get out of the car and once the police are done putting handcuffs on
them and telling them why they were arrested they break the handcuffs and throw
the police cars out of their way, the police immediately call for back – up.
“Let’s
get out of here Joey,” Brooke tells Joey.
“Let’s
show them something that they won’t believe,” Joey replies, and then they fly
into the air.
Joey
tells Brooke, “This is much better than driving a stolen car, and the
police won’t be able catch us, now let’s show them what happens when they mess
with us.”
“How much longer will it be until we destroy
something, destroying that factory wasn't enough.” Brooke asked.
